Slievebloom Farmhouse Ltd was founded by Ciara Morris in 1997. Ciara was born and reared in the rural village of Clareen, Birr, Co. Offaly where she lives and operates her business. Inspired by her Grandmother, Ciara has always had a flair and passion for food.
In 1997, the budding entrepreneur attended a Good Food Establishment Course run by Teagasc. Subsequent to this, and with the growing success of her products, Ciara established Slievebloom Farmhouse Cottage to facilitate her growing business. The Cottage has now been extended to cater for growing demands. This facility has HSE approval.
Slievebloom Farmhouse Ltd. produce high quality Marmalades, Sauces and Chutneys.
The products have received several accolades at the Great Taste Awards, including their Cranberry and Mulled Wine Sauce, Lemon De Vine Marmalade, Spiced Marmalade and Lavender Marmalade. Ciara is a strong advocate for using organically grown Irish produce in her products. She continually promotes the health benefits of using natural products, in particular Cranberries and Blueberries.
